All thirteen permitted varieties, predominantly Mourvedre, Grenache and Syrah but with Counoise, Cinsault, Vaccarèse, Terret Noir, Muscardin, Clairette, Picpoul, Picardan, Bourboulenc and Roussanne all in perfect harmony. Quintessential Beaucastel, replete with wild black fruits, exotic spices, woodsmoke, leather, game, and a bouquet garni of provençal herbs. Lavish on approach, with thickness balanced by freshness through the mid-palate. Rich, velvety tannins through to the long spicy finish make this thoroughly approachable now, yet there’s density to ensure this wine will continue to improve through to 2024 and drink well through 2029.
