Wonderfully light and pleasant - like a May wine, yet with luscious minerality - a delightful Loire with a hint of Bordeaux.
I buy everything WineAccess offers from Vincent Ricard. I haven't tried the Potine yet, since I let all wines shipped rest for a few weeks. Then I age them for 1 to 3 years, drinking my way slowly through. Ricard's SBs consistently morph into baby Sancerre and, of course, the reference and notable echo of Dageneau in his wines is what keeps me coming back. For the SB fan, this is stunning quality for the money.
This is one of the most delicious whites I've found at this price point. More baby Sancerre in style, this is our house white.
in addition to the Tanzer Tasting notes we caught a drift of rose petals on the finish - drinks like nectar - especially with the 12.5 content
Ridiculous bargain. Stony, mineral-laced sauv blanc. If anyone knows a better bargain from the Loire or anywhere else, let me know.
This lovely Touraine Sauvignon Blanc has been excellent ever since it arrive at my home last year. Beautiful fruit notes of green apple, pink grapefruit, tangerine and lemon blossom. Bone dry, this wine had a hint of honey and dusty notes that evolved into a flinty note on the finish. FABULOUS! I'm soo glad I bought a case of it.
This just arrived this afternoon, and I stuck one in the freezer for about half an hour and opened it before dinner. Delicious! As advertised with a bit of a saline character on the mid-palate and mouthwatering on the finish. At least a 30 second finish. Well worth the price! Thank you, Wineaccess!
We like this very much - it is the everyday white wine that goes with many foods but works well as a stand alone, sit on the deck, put your feet up and drink wine kinda white. Like it very muc :-)
Crisp, minerally, hint of citrus rind. A very nice wine for the money. 3.5-4 stars
I am familiar with Sauvignon Blanc from the Touraine and this is representative of some Sauvignon Blancs characteristic of the area but falls short on mature character and minerality which I love. It is a nice quaffable wine but I am not a big fan of what I would characterize as New Zealand expression of the variety- green notes of Sauvignon Blanc rather than the austere mineral notes of Sancerre. It pairs well with chevre, but it lacks the complexity to go with something like a grilled chicken on fresh caught trout.
This is a decent, very light summer wine in my opinion. I was hoping for something with a bit more body. Although I understand the difference between an old world and new world Sauvignon Blanc, this wine seemed even lighter than what you would expect from an old world wine. A good table white for a hot summer day perhaps.
Nothing special. Mediocre taste.
Definitely not up to the description you provided in the e-mail review. It is a nice wine....probably around an 87, but there are much better Sauvignon Blancs out there for a similar price (e.g., from Australia).
Too much tartness, not enough minerality, wimpy wine.
Disappointingly thin and strident; not what I was expecting at all from the description. Drinkable, but I wouldn't buy it again.
