Really Good Now!

It's been a little over a year and a half since I opened the first of these. There's no bitterness now and no noticeable heat on the finish - just outstanding, big pinot noir! Love it!

Better than Sea Smoke?

I recently enjoyed another bottle of this wine with friend whose favorite for several years has been Sea Smoke. I let it breath for about two hours. She thought that it was in the same class as Sea Smoke, but smoother. I also like the full-bodied style of Pinot Noir, and it's right up there among the best.

unbelievably seductive

This is a remarkably concentrated pinot with an absolutely fabulous nose. inhale deeply to sense black fruit (blackberry and blueberry especially), menthol, and peanut butter. The taste is more pure, with essence of blackberry on the palate. The finish is very long, with good, mouthwatering acidity. This is not the wine I wanted at the beginning of the evening, but now there is no wine I would rather be drinking. An utterly seductive and satisfying pinot with great richness and depth.

Like a Martinelli

Big, big fruit. If you like that style, its a good buy.

Great wine

Good quality to price ratio

Surprisingly firm backbone of tannin and structure along with the blackberry fruit. Drinkable now, but might cellar well.

Time will tell a good story

Over oaked at this point but teeming with tart but balanced red fruit. Took 1.5-2 hrs to open up. Need to wait a couple of years further but worth the wait.

very good but slightly short on the palate

Great wine. Goes well with seafood.
