Napa’s Greatest Winemakers Deliver Extraordinary

We know the right people in the wine industry. No, we’re not talking about make-or-break critics. Or celebrity sommeliers. We’re talking about the world’s best winemakers. Private collectors know them — and so do Michelin-star restaurants. But until now, that was it. We’re here to make an introduction to their truly profound wine.

100-point Winemaker Set Includes:

2014 Teeter Totter Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

Out of 20,000 wines tasted, only 40 wines made the cut for our Store. And of those, the 2014 Teeter-Totter Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is our #1 hottest, client-favorite wine — a stunning value from Wine Spectator’s 2014 “dream vintage.” Eight-time 100-point winemaker Benoit Touquette leveraged his network of exceptional vineyard sources from Yountville, St. Helena, Pritchard Hill, and Calistoga to create a Cabernet that could stand shoulder to shoulder with high-priced, high-profile Napa counterparts — for under $100. Robert Parker called this opulent, lip-smacking, black-fruited gem “heady, round” and “hedonistic.” A few prominent wine directors of 3-Michelin-starred restaurants have their allocation. In-the-know collectors have already laid down cases in their cellars. Don’t be one of those who miss out.

2014 Selene Wines Frediani Vineyard

In our longstanding appreciation of Mia Klein’s handiwork, we have had plenty of company. Food & Wine Magazine called her “one of the most sought-after winemaking consultants in America,” and crowned her “Winemaker of the Year.” Spottswoode, Araujo, Viader, and Dalla Valle have all sought her guidance, knowing her touch leads to bottled excellence and high scores, including a perfect 100 from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. Her prowess with Bordeaux varieties has landed her on celebrated wine lists from The French Laundry to San Francisco’s A16, where Klein’s Merlot elbowed its way onto an Italian-dominated list. Ever since her days as Cathy Corison’s right hand at Chappellet, Klein’s acclaim has been growing, and one taste of the 2014 Selene Merlot Frediani Vineyard will tell you why. Marked by deep, pure fruit and vibrant acidity, this selection is a stunning alternative to Cabernet Sauvignon and a bottled “eureka” for Merlot cynics.

2x 2015 Band of Vintners Consortium Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

If we listed every accolade earned by the seven-man supergroup behind the 2015 Band of Vintners Consortium Cabernet,we’d have to write another 1,000 words before getting to the point. So, to the point: The charge is led by 100-point Parker winemaker Dan Petroski of Massican and Larkmead, Aubert de Villaine-trained winemaker Stéphane Vivier of Hyde de Villaine, and Master Sommelier and Harlan alumnus Jason Heller. In addition to off-the-charts skill and palates, the Band of Vintners has deep and sturdy Napa ties, which they used to score fruit from a historic vineyard whose wines regularly fetch $125 per bottle in an average vintage. But 2015 was anything but: Vinous says it is “shaping up to be a vintage of opulent, voluptuous wines with real personality and character,” while Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate ranks it at 97 points. Powerful and plush, the Consortium does its high-profile producers and its provenance proud.

2015 Moone-Tsai Vineyards Chardonnay Charles Heintz Vineyard

Chardonnay collectors, take note. According to Robert Parker, the French-born Philippe Melka is one of the world’s top consulting winemakers, and the many 100-point scores earned by Melka wines back that up. His exacting winemaking skills have catapulted labels like Dominus, Hundred Acre, Bryant Family, Tusk, and Dana Estates onto the world’s wine stage. His Cabernet Sauvignon is the stuff of legend, but his artistry is on full display in the Moone-Tsai Heintz Vineyard Chardonnay, which has become a critical darling. Here’s your chance to lock into a rare Chardonnay dubbed “fabulous,” “gorgeous,” and “full of personality,” and sourced from a vineyard The Wine Advocate calls “one of the top sites in Sonoma” — a source for Littorai and Kosta Browne. Our only regret? Just 192 bottles of the 2015 Moone-Tsai Chardonnay will end up in a handful of lucky Wine Access clients’ hands.

2016 Arietta Quartet Sauvignon Blanc

Collector alert. We have a truly rare, and nearly impossible to find wine from Arietta, crafted by 100-point winemaker Andy Erickson, formerly of Screaming Eagle. Arietta is one of the legendary Napa producers, with a cult following of mailing list clients and Sommeliers alike. Arietta’s wines grace the luminary wine lists of Michelin-starred restaurants like Per Se, The Modern, Jean-Georges, Blue Hill at Stone Barns, The French Laundry, and The Restaurant at Meadowood Napa Valley — just to name a few. Our own Sur Lucero, MS says, "I had the great fortune to showcase Arietta wines during my time on the floor at The French Laundry. I remember when they were released, they created a whole new category for white wine in Napa for us to utilize in our wine pairings. To say the release of this Quartet white, some 12 years later, is anything less than highly anticipated — would be an understatement!” The opportunity to be among those who gain access to this first release of Arietta’s captivating and layered Quartet Sauvignon Blanc is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
