Unique wine. In my humble opinion, no other popular Napa Chardonnay producer comes even close to the simplicity and power of this wine at any price. Ellegance is the key word here. From color to aftertaste.
In the glass, it has a very light yellow-green color, much greener than any other California chardonnay. On top of a typical chardonnay scent (only suggestive here and not overpowering as in most) there is a ton of citrus and, perhaps, some sycamore. If you can immagine what purity, innocence, and wind smeel like, this wine has just that. Strong and powerful taste giving you nothing definite but only hints of grapes, citrus, and something evasive which only your own imagination can figure out. Ambrosia!
Note on price: At $41 per bottle it is cheaper than buying it at the winery. If I could afford it, I would drink it every day. As all California chardonnays, and half of the Chablis, it is perhaps overpriced but, again, you'll be lucky to find it at below $45 if you can find it at all!
