The Centerpiece of Any Collection

Considering the estate’s quality and worldwide reputation, and considering how little there is to go around, Château Cheval Blanc is an absolute treasure—in any vintage.

But when the wine achieves perfection, forget about it—which is why we feel so fortunate to have secured the triple-100-point 2009 Cheval Blanc, which may very well be the greatest Cheval Blanc of all time.

The ‘09 is one of only seven vintages since the Second World War to attain perfection, according to Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, and if any wine has delivered on the lofty promise of a flawless vintage, this is it. Our bottles come direct from the château’s cellar, with perfect provenance, and each one is ready to become the centerpiece of any collection.

The 2009 Cheval Blanc inspired rare critical consensus: Decanter, Jeb Dunnuck, and Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate all deemed it to be flawless in reviews from the last few years. This means that, after a decade in the château cellar, the wine is staying the course of perfection.

2009 was a dream of a growing season, with warm weather over the summer leading to an idyllic fall. Cheval Blanc could harvest at their leisure, which meant they had the flexibility to make the sort of wine they prize most highly. Already intensely aromatic—showing blackberry pie, violets, fresh leather, clove, and bitter chocolate—this is a wine of power and elegance, destined to impress for the next 50 years.
