Three Historic Vineyards. One 98-Point Masterpiece.

Diamond Creek is one of Napa’s most esteemed historic wineries, and over nearly 50 years crafting Cabernet classics, they’ve deemed only a few vintages worthy of their Three Vineyard Blend.

And the 2013 is the first one they’ve commercially released. This bottle, which won 98 points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate, is drawn from the best barrels of three vineyards that Diamond Creek typically taps for their exceptional single-site Cabernets.

Each vineyard is prized for its unique terroir. Rooted in light, ashy soil in one of the state’s warmest microclimates, Volcanic Hill contributes body and earthy richness. The steep, stony Red Rock Terrace, which receives less sunlight throughout the day, adds ripe fruit and velvety tannins. And Gravelly Meadow, planted on a prehistoric riverbed, imbues elegance and minerality.

In the 2013 season—a vintage Wine Advocate scored as high as any in their history—a dry, mild, seemingly endless summer blessed these sites with Cabernet Sauvignon of juicy ripeness and flawless purity. And Diamond Creek crafted them into a masterpiece.

“What a wine,” Antonio Galloni said in his review. “The aromatic breadth, the intensity of the fruit and the wine's persistence are all so compelling. Wow.” It’s a wine of dense concentration, stunning power, and regal sophistication. Generous dark fruit gives way to endless complexity— notes of violet, lavender, and licorice, spice, and tobacco.

Michel Couvreux, beverage director at Michelin three-star Per Se, loves its full body, concentration, and velvety tannins, recommending it as a perfect pairing for festive meats like venison. Aged for 22 months in 22% new French oak, it’s a rich and decadent Cabernet, an extremely rare bottling from a Napa icon.
