    A Remarkable Success Story

    A Remarkable Success Story

Italian wine lovers consider Antonio Galloni’s Vinous an authoritative source. So Vinous reporting that “Abruzzo’s Pecorino has been Italy’s hottest white wine over the past ten years,” an “undeniable” and “remarkable success story,” was proof-positive of the wine’s growing acclaim. Marramiero’s Pecorino, grown on a summit in Italy’s Abruzzo region, bursting with bright, orchard fruit and citrus notes, is our favorite under the radar discovery. If you want to find Marramiero whites, you’re best bet is to make a reservation at Mario Batali’s Babbo in NYC, or the Greenwich Village steadfast Carbone. Alternatively, you could hit “Buy” now and stock up on our 80 case allocation. Just $24.99 a bottle for lovers of brilliant Italian whites.

Perched more than 900 feet above sea level, Masseria Sant’Andrea vineyard has been in the Marramiero family for over a century. Their Pecorino macerates for 24 hours on the grape skins, which adds texture and complexity, and is then fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve fresh and crisp flavors.

Vinous nailed it, calling Pecorino: “...downright exciting.” And Marramiero’s 2014 Pecorino is as good as it gets.
