Château La Fleur Plaisance is a 30-acre estate just north of the village of Saint-Émilion. Situated on one of the highest points of the Montagne-Saint-Émilion appellation, the vineyards are planted on a base of limestone and clay. Their southern orientation allows an all-day sun exposure that helps ripen Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon for the blend. The 2015 is a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby/purple with aromas of black raspberries, black currants, and a smoky, gravelly note. The palate is silky in texture and full-bodied, with a dense core of black fruit and hints of licorice and tobacco. This is a great value! Drink today to 2027.
