The 2015 Onda, which consists of 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Merlot, and 2% Petit Verdot is a full-bodied but ultra-refined red, with a palate of densely packed black currant and blackberry, it’s cradled by supple, rounded tannins, and loads of exotic spice.
The same sites and spectacular vintage are on display in VASO, with its power, dense but fine-grained tannins, and persistent and vibrant finish. Tasting the wine, one can find the personality of each of the vineyard sites: the cassis and dried herbs of Helms, the exotic spices of Lotus, the crushed rocks from Crystal Springs, and the blackberry and minerality of Hershey Vineyard—all in a wine you should not hesitate to enjoy now.
