From a 1.1-acre plot that rubs shoulders with the Grand Cru of Clos St. Denis, Les Millandes is a pretty pale ruby in color. It’s redolent of black cherries, raspberry, violets, cedar, forest floor, and allspice, with a palate of black fruit, oak spice, and a touch of tilled earth, all carried on satiny tannins. A beautiful representation of the core of power and a touch of grace that is Morey-Saint-Denis. We’ve got just 8 cases.

Grown in the outstanding 2018 vintage and drawn from some of the most precious climats in Morey-Saint-Denis, this bottle displays just how handsomely the dividends pay when meticulous farming and cellar finesse meets a sunny vintage like 2018. 

That year, early spring rains had buds busting out like Jiffy Pop. But as Mother Nature started cranking up the heat, she started turning down the tap: The summer was hot and dry, with just enough rain to slake the vines, leading to an early harvest of beautifully concentrated grapes. By the time the wines were in barrel, critics were musing about whether 2018 might rival the stellar 1947.
