Give Us C’est Si Bon, Every Time

Elyse is one of our members’ favorite insider Napa wineries. Russell Bevan is the 100-point winemaker whose reds our members have praised as “Divine!” and “Stunning wine, one of my favorites ever!” Needless to say, we expected big things from Elyse’s first red wine since they claimed Bevan as their Director of Winemaking.

It only took one sip of the 2018 C’est Si Bon Red Wine for Elyse to exceed our highest hopes. Bursting from the glass with tons of red fruit, packing loads of ripeness, herbs, and complexity through the elegant finish, this Rhône-style blend is polished, approachable, and bears Bevan’s unmistakable 100-point fingerprints all the way.

If we’ve got $30 to spend at a Napa Valley winery, give us C’est Si Bon any day. It’s the kind of wine we wish more Napa Valley wineries would make: a thoughtfully sourced, no-rules red that delivers the power, richness, and pure pleasure that we expect from top Cabernets—like Bevan’s, which cost $90+—at about a third of the price.

Because of our outstanding relationship with Elyse—which comes thanks to the Wine Access members who have made short work of the Elyse wines we’ve offered—we’ve got the 100% exclusive on this wine, which is not even available at the winery yet. Claim your share of this tiny-production red today, and taste exactly why Russell Bevan was Elyse’s first call.

A decade ago, Robert Parker wrote of Russell Bevan: “I can’t recommend this up-and-coming producer’s wines highly enough.” Five years after that, he said “I continue to be blown away by the wines from Russell Bevan.” Now, Bevan’s got seven 100-pointers from Wine Advocate, another couple from Jeb Dunnuck, and his wines keep getting better and better.

It’s no wonder that Elyse sought him out and nabbed him as their Director of Winemaking. Joining the team in 2018, Bevan handled the blending for some of the Elyse Cabernet we’ve offered, but C’est Si Bon is the first red wine that Bevan’s sculpted from start-to-finish. He turned the key, he hit the gas, and now Elyse is going full-throttle with their hand-picked winemaker in complete control.

C’est Si Bon is a perfect place for a winemaker like Russell Bevan—who’s known for Cabernet but also makes rocking Sonoma County wines under his own label—to start. Sourced from four vineyards in both Napa Valley and Sonoma County, it’s a tiny-production Beaucastel-inspired Rhône blend consisting of 60% Mourvèdre and equal parts Syrah and Grenache. A Châteauneuf-style aging regimen of ten months in neutral French oak has imbued it with a beautiful oak-aged texture while allowing it to retain gorgeously pure fruit.

The 2018 vintage was ideal on both sides of the Mayacamas Mountains, and it shows in this blockbuster red blend. Elyse found their man in 100-point winemaker Russell Bevan—claim your share of this exclusive bottle for just $30 and find out why he was a sure pick.
