    Perfect Pedigree Sauvignon Blanc

The 2018 Graham + Stella is a classic New World Sauvignon Blanc that’s as nuanced and complex as one might expect coming from a Master of Wine and a Napa insider.

We know Master of Wine Christy Canterbury and vintner Jaime Araujo as two of the most pedigreed names in the industry who spin liquid gold out of every project they touch, which is why the entire Valley descended on this small production wine when it debuted.

A blink-and-you-miss-it powerhouse collaboration project, Forbes didn’t help with its availability when it recently named this wine among its four “Top Tasting Sauvignon Blancs” of the season.

Brimming with high-toned tropical vibrancy, the fresh-cut pineapple, guava, and key lime perfume soon give way to nuances of minerals and just-torn mint. Made with an intriguing blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Musque, the latter adds a gorgeous tropical element to the palate. Passionfruit and zippy gooseberry are buoyed by crisp acidity, leaving a bright buddha’s hand citrus character lingering on the finish.

Sourced from tony zip codes in Oak Knoll and Oakville, it's a serious wine that remains light on its feet. Christy and Jaime pick early in the season to ensure its brightness, then lock it in through stainless steel aging and by preventing malolactic fermentation. A weekly lees stirring in the cellar helps build the wine’s textural complexity.

A best-in-class bottling that competes with top $45+ Napa offerings from Hourglass, Rudd, and Spottswoode, the wine industry legends behind the 2018 Graham + Stella Sauvignon Blanc could have priced it accordingly and no one would have batted an eye.

Christy Canterbury was the seventh woman in the US to earn her prestigious Master of Wine title and is known around the world for her impeccable instincts and incredible palate. Her Graham + Stella partner is fellow brainiac Jaime Araujo—whose family’s eponymous estate was anointed one of the top nine cult wines in the Valley by Wine Spectator. Araujo featured in Robert Parker’s book, The World’s Greatest Wine Estates, where he advised: “Readers should try and get on the mailing list, or at least on the waiting list for the mailing list!”

Jaime's upbringing on the Araujo estate plus Christy's finely tuned palate give them a serious edge in the cellar—together, they share a combined skill set and unparalleled map of reference points that are evident in every sip of the 2018 Graham + Stella Sauvignon Blanc.

The idea for Graham + Stella was born out of their mutual love of vivacious Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc and their two rescue pups (named, you guessed it, Graham and Stella). This stellar wine stands on its own, but it goes down even smoother knowing a dollar from every bottle sold is donated to local animal shelters.

Jaime and Christy bring extraordinary expertise to the table, and it shows in this wine. Nearly impossible to find now, we took the lion’s share and are thrilled to offer you this mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc.
