2018 Hobel Cabernet Sauvignon The Figure Napa Valley 750 ml

We can’t say enough about the 2018 Hobel The Figure Cabernet Sauvignon. Made by Thomas Rivers Brown, one of the most decorated Cabernet craftsmen in the world, it beautifully captures the exceptional 2018 vintage in beautiful ripe fruit and exotic spice notes.

The story of Hobel Wines began in 1998, when Cameron Hobel, the Director of Business Development at Winebid, first met a young Thomas Rivers Brown. At the time, Thomas was working as Assistant Winemaker at Turley Wine Cellars, and the pair bonded over their love of great wine (of course). That led to many shared dinners, where they discussed the prospect of working together to produce a world-class wine. 

The opportunity finally arose eleven years later, when Brown—by then known in Napa and by collectors simply as “TRB”—signed on as winemaker for Cameron’s eponymously named label. The fruit of this collaboration was the 2009 Hobel Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, and they’ve been going strong ever since. 

The 2018 vintage, nourished by winter rains and having enjoyed a long and steady growing season, is a gorgeous wine that puts the pair’s unadulterated excellence on display. It’s poised for a long life in the cellar, so we hope you can figure a way to add some to your collection!
