Grown on 18-year-old vines planted in the volcanic ash that distinguishes the region, it’s dark and concentrated, with lively aromas of cedar, juniper, and florals accenting steeped dark berries. After 22 months in 70% new French oak, it’s got a palate touched by vanilla and sweet baking spice, carried on rich tannins that will enable a decade-plus in the cellar.
