The label bears the phrase “Cent’anni” in commemoration of the Mondavi family’s 100th harvest in California—and you can bet they put their best foot forward with this historic bottling. Boasting a 99-point rating, it’s a masterpiece now and will only get better over the next several years.

Continuum is a culmination of experience for Tim and Marcia Mondavi. The family’s commitment to world-class wine has led them to this extraordinary, fully estate-based site: the incredible Sage Mountain Vineyard, overlooking Oakville and nested among some of Napa’s greatest estates.  

Tim, a winemaking veteran for over 50 years, and his full-time team work tirelessly to produce the truest expression of the fruit from those rocky, volcanic soils, and 2019 supplied them with flawless raw materials. This vintage contains Continuum’s highest percentage of Cabernet Franc to date (37%), and the aromas burst from the glass: plush black fruit and scorched earth, blackberries, cassis, violets, and sage, all in perfect balance. The wine is full and dense on the palate, with chiseled tannins, a rich body, and a long finish that crescendos with a dose of minerals.
