We’re going to be drinking this on Tuesday nights, and pouring it proudly for anyone who doesn’t think quality Burgundy can be had for a bargain. 

Burgundy's geography tells the story. The narrow strip of limestone-rich slopes run barely 30 miles from Dijon to Santenay, subdivided into thousands of tiny parcels that have been fought over and subdivided since medieval monks first recognized their potential. The region's reputation was built on scarcity, and that scarcity has only intensified with demand.

That’s why stumbling upon La Reine Margot was such a coup. The young winemaker behind the label had built relationships with trusted growers across Burgundy's three key departments. Her approach was both pragmatic and principled as she sourced fruit from Chablis country, the heart of Côte d'Or, and the broader landscapes of Saône-et-Loire.
