Beautiful Vines, Blockbuster Wine
You will not find a better bargain on a top-scoring Napa Cab than today’s 2021 Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Juliet. Sourced largely from Rutherford’s world-famous Georges III Vineyard in one of the great Napa vintages this century, it earned a staggering 97 points and Cellar Selection honors from Wine Enthusiast, placing it at the very top. Its $125 winery price is justified, but we’ve got it for an incredible discount.
The 2021 Juliet is a calling-card bottling for Beau Vigne, which was founded by Ed and Trish Snider in 2002 and rose to fame on a parade of raves. Robert Parker HIMSELF called it “one of my favorite wineries,” and over the years his Wine Advocate has honored it with huge scores.
Beau Vigne has always had a first-class winemaker at the helm—first Dave Phinney, then Kirk Venge, and now Wine Access–favorite winemaker Julien Fayard. He crafted the 2021 Juliet largely from Cabernet Sauvignon grown on the world-famous Georges III Vineyard in Rutherford, truly one of the top sites in Napa Valley and the source for Schrader’s $400 GIII bottles. The rest came from the Miller Ranch in Yountville, another first-class site.
After aging in 100% French oak (40% of it new) and a few years in bottle, this wine is showing exactly why Wine Enthusiast made it one of the top-ranked Cabernets of 2021. Muscular, elegant, and impactful, it shows a dark ruby core, with aromas of black cherry, plum, and graphite layered with chocolate and espresso. The palate is rich and generous, with a silky and juicy midpalate, generous tannins, and a long-lasting finish that will make your head spin.
