Esclans Valley Prestige. Mouthwatering Rosé Value.

Every year, Château des Demoiselles crafts dynamic, mouthwatering rosé with a distinguished Provençal character. Every year, we come back to their flagship Côtes de Provence as the perfect kickoff to rosé season. And nearly every year, it sells out right away, leaving a wake of reviews like, “Loved it—light and refreshing” and, “Wish I could buy more.”

Grown on organically farmed vines in the sea-spattered sunshine of the Esclans Valley—just down the road from where Château d’Esclans makes their famous Whispering Angel and $100 Garrus—this bone-dry, mineral-laden 2021 Côtes de Provence is the quintessential French rosé. It’s fragrant, juicy, fresh, and crisp—a gorgeous representation of the world’s most iconic rosé region.

Even as many Provençal estates have ballooned their production to meet skyrocketing demand for rosé, Demoiselles has remained committed to strict standards of quality, even if it means stateside scarcity. It shows in their 2021, which entices from the start with fresh aromas of strawberry, raspberry, melon, and acacia, then opens to reveal a palate of fresh fruit and citrus accented by wild herbs.

The Château des Demoiselles team takes painstaking measures to transform the estate’s supremely concentrated grapes into a rosé of mouthwatering freshness. They harvest at night to prevent coloring and oxidation. After the grapes are gently pressed, the juice is cold-stabilized, allowed to settle for eight days, then aged on the lees in stainless steel, preserving the freshness of the fruit, lovely aromatics, and lively acidity.

What results is the epitome of Provence rosé: a salmon-pink wine, buzzing with energy, seasoned by the sea spray and cleansed by Provençal breezes.
