Big Aura Points

A 100-point winemaker, Julien Fayard, groomed for blue-chip excellence at Château Lafite-Rothschild, Quintessa, and Atelier Melka. Check.

Top-pedigree sourcing, featuring grapes drawn from meticulously farmed sites in Napa Valley. Check.

A 95-point score from Decanter and their Napa Valley denizen Jonathan Cristaldi, who raved about it as “full-flavoured, full-bodied, lip-smacking.” Check.

In its 23-year history, Beau Vigne has made quite a name for themselves: Robert Parker even deemed it “one of my favorite wineries.” And throughout the twists and turns they’ve taken, starting with founders Ed and Trish Snider back in 2002 and continuing on to their current ownership, they’ve never stopped producing fabulous wine.

A big factor: They’ve always had a first-class winemaker at the helm—first Dave Phinney, then Kirk Venge, and now Wine Access–favorite Julien Fayard, the 100-point ace behind Le Pich and Purlieu and his critic-enchanting JF label. He crafted the 2022 AURA from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grown on Beau Vigne’s top-flight source-sites in Napa Valley, aging it in 100% French oak for 16 months. What results is a power-packed Napa Valley Cab that will satisfy any and every lover of rich Napa reds down to the last sip.

Showing a deep, dark ruby/violet hue, the wine has aromas driven by chocolate-covered cherries, violets, and licorice, with hints of graphite and Claro tobacco. The palate is layered with notes of blackberries, plum, and spice, with mineral-rich graphite and espresso. Well-knit tannins carry a long-lasting finish that will linger on your palate until the next sip.

This is what California Cabernet is all about. Crack your bottle with a steak or just with a room full of great friends.
