    One of Champagne’s Great Secrets

When we discovered Alfred Tritant’s Brut Rosé, we knew it was special: With all the broad-shouldered, fruity, chalky complexity of a great house like Bollinger, it was a no-brainer to import directly. SF’s two-MICHELIN starred Californios is just as enamored, which is why they JUST put it on their list by the glass for $29.

Alfred Tritant is a TINY house, farming 19 plots that cover just over seven acres, producing just over 2,000 cases of wine each year. Because of this minuscule production, they aren’t a candidate for a traditional three-tier importer—but they were perfect for us to direct-import ourselves.

Tritant typically sells everything at their cellar door, but after we tasted their wines and met proprietors Jean-Luc and Mathilde, we worked for months to score a small allocation of this stellar Champagne for Wine Access members. Their Brut Rosé features beautifully tiny bubbles, aromatics of ripe strawberries, delicate floral tones, and a plush and refreshing palate—it was love at first sip. It’s a gorgeous Champagne with all the broad-shouldered, fruity, chalky complexity of a great house like Bollinger.

Tritant’s Brut Rosé is sourced entirely from those Grand Crus in the Montagne de Reims,  sustainably farmed, hand-harvested, and given ample time on the lees to develop complexity and a silky mousse. As is traditional in the area, the wine is fermented in stainless steel tanks and given color with the addition of a touch of Bouzy rouge.

There’s a reason why multiple MICHELIN two-star restaurants have picked up Tritant's Champagnes to put on their list. They’re simply outstanding.
