    We’ve been popping this blend of Chenin Blanc, Cab Franc, and Chardonnay at just about every occasion that calls for bubbles—and plenty of times for no reason at all. Vibrant and refined, with beautiful pear, citrus blossom, and almond-cream flavors, it’s a seriously stylish bottle of sparkling wine. 

    Our last visit to Baumard came after a pork- and cream-fueled few days in Paris. The visit was supposed to be a recharge following a week of tasting, as art tends to re-center us after a packed work trip. It was a good plan, but maybe seeing the word “Boudin” over and over at the Marmottan primed us for debauchery. Of course, we couldn’t resist heading to Champagne and the Loire in search of a few new finds.

    In Baumard’s cold cellars, we dare say that the Carte Turquoise Crémant stole the show—bold words, we know, considering the excellence of their Savennières. All we know is we were feeling a little run down when the first taste of Baumard’s Crémant hit our palates… then BAM! The world seemed to get brighter, more colorful, and much more fun.

    This was better than a number of Champagnes we’d had in the last month—and we couldn’t help but ask for another pour. By the time we left, we’d negotiated a fantastic price for our members.
