2019 Iron Horse Vineyards Russian Cuvee Green Valley of Russian River Valley

Iron Horse is one of the greatest sparkling wine producers in the US, and their Russian Cuvée is a signature bottling. Originally crafted to be poured at the Reagan-Gorbachev summits at the end of the Cold War, it boasts Iron Horse’s signature Russian River Valley fruit, plus a silky texture that makes it an ideal start to a meal, though its richness is absolutely brilliant with fried chicken or grilled halloumi. This is $58 at the winery, and we have it at a phenomenal price.

2024 Cosmologist Sauvignon Blanc Napa Valley

Crafted by a guy who has Napa’s most famous estate on his C.V., this Sauvignon Blanc has the linear elegance, orchard fruit richness, and the saline minerality of a bottle four times the price! But there’s no actual sale price to compare this to, because he’s never released his micro-production of intensely floral Sauvignon Blanc to the public before. Ever. Unlike his other cuvées—which you at least have a shot at if you make it onto the very competitive mailing list—you’ll never taste this wine unless you get an invite to his surf shack in Bodega Bay.
