    Perfect Port-Style Californian Rarity

Some wineries can claim to have “started it all,” and some can claim to set the standard today.

Williams Selyem does both. Their early vintages clued the world in to the glory of Golden State Pinot Noir. 25 years after their debut, Williams Selyem earned 100 points from Wine Enthusiast, becoming the first North American Pinot to earn a perfect score from a major publication.

Now Williams Selyem is among the most iconic wineries west of the Mayacamas Mountains, and their Sonoma County, Russian River, and single-vineyard Pinot Noirs are hotly anticipated not just by their endless waiting list, but by collectors around the world.

Few know that Williams Selyem’s portfolio extends well beyond Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. This stunning California rendition of a classic Port-style wine is as delicious as it is rare. Made in small quantities from grapes used in the traditional Douro blend using Touriga Nacional, Tinto Cão, Tinta Madeira, and Tinta Francesca. The wine is reminiscent of holiday spice and dark, ripe fruits. The 2013 is rich and full yet lively and bright with a balanced acidity. The wine is loaded with dark cocoa and cinnamon spice notes, making it ideal for chocolate desserts.

This is a wine we reach for whenever we can find it, and know that once you taste it… you’ll do the same.
