11/2013: Pleasingly bright ruby to the rim. Excellent nose of red and black fruits with an earthy note. Very fresh in the mouth with excellent acidity. Lush, but very refined. Will be very food friendly, especially for grilled fare. Might be best with pork or even grilled salmon. Very nice! 4.5 stars. 12/11/17: Delicious right now. A little "bigger" than the 2009 Xavier Vignon CDP, but very fresh, especially at about 60 degrees. Beautiful! I can't believe CDP gets a whole lot better than this. 12/12/17: Poured half of this into a half bottle last night and am finishing it tonight after having a Conn Valley Vineyards Right Bank with dinner. The freshness is striking, not to mention the fruit and general loveliness. This is really outstanding. Fabulous! 3/5/17: Still very fresh with almost bracing acidity and refined, but has added weight. A little road tar note has appeared and maybe a little meaty note. Some floral notes seem to be in there, too, maybe lavender. Very interesting stuff! I'm still thinking grilled pork or salmon, but I'm just enjoying this bottle for the drinking of it. Love this! Truly 5 star.
