Stolpman does it again!

This is quite possibly my favorite Stolpman ever!

Great again.

Excellent nose of fruit. The blackberry and tannins fill the palate. Dark fruit jamming on the tongue and is complete with a touch of heat on the finish. Young and can only get better.

I do not give 5's

Absolutely delicious! Raspberry jam and black cherries. Hints of floral spice. Tannins so soft it could be Pinot. How can this be. Finish like a summer Alaskan sky at midnight. Full, lingering, requesting more...

2010 Stolpman Syrah

Stolpman wines are always lush, dense and delicious. All this one needs is a little age to give it an extra star.

As good as it gets.

Stolpman Vineyards is the premier Syrah producer in SBC. This is a fantastic wine at an incredible price. Deep berryflavors with a ton of dark chocolate, still expanding on day two! Easily a 93 point wine, I haven't tasted anything this good from the Rhone in years! Kudos to the team at Stolpman, can't wait to taste the Originals.

I love this style

I recently discover the 2011 Stolpman Syrah Estate Grown Syrah from a email blast from the wine house. Purple intensity, I was won over and bought another couple bottles. Last night ,I was so fortunate to have been treated to this "2010" vintage of the same estate grown Syrah from Stolpman. Wow…Bought 4 bottles, and was tempted to take the remaining 3 bottles too. Here at Lincoln Fine wines…So happy to fine this stash.

Hope the 2011 is better

Quite average. Nothing exciting.

Far below expectations and description

Tasted December 6, 2013. Closed down nose, lacking fruit and mouth feel, with short and somewhat tannic finish. Considering the significant disconnect with the write up, this is the most disappointing "description / experience" of any wines purchased through Wine Access. Either going through a dumb stage or not destined for aging, I will be considerably suspect of this bottling and Stolpman wines in the future.

Poor quality- this wine is not even close the description given by Stolpman

My opinion on this wine, to date, is stated precisely by Glazier13876668 on 9/12/2013 I have opened 3 of 6 bottles and all three have dissapointed.

A Stone's Throw From Screaming Eagle? More like a different Continent, and I'm not referring to France, either.

Every single bottle of wine that I have purchased from WineAccess (and that is a lot of wine) but one has been at least excellent, if not stellar, and that one likely spoiled. Now there are two. This wine was nowhere near the hype. 91 points? Really? It was thin, and certainly not "firm and energetic in the mouth" whatever that means. It was thin-bodied, and rather than a "lightly saline, juicy and persistent" finish, I would call it a chemical finish, albeit certainly persistent. I poured the other half of the bottle down the drain. I have at least two more, so I will see if that was just a bad bottle, but it truly left a bad taste in my mouth.

Worst wine in the twenty or so I've gotten from wine access I have little hope of it improving with age

Poor Syrah

Really poor. Tasted back to back with Spring Valley Nina Lee Syrah - no comparison and "supposedly" the same price. Bad deal for such a good write up.
