World-Class Talent, World-Class Cabernet

Maayan Koschitzky has had a hand in some of Napa Valley's most collectible bottles—Screaming Eagle and Dalla Valle among them—and his tremendous skill has made him one of the most sought-after Cabernet craftsmen in the world.

Pas de Cheval is his ambitious Napa Valley project, and for it, he not only leveraged his connections to tap into some of the region's top sites, but he enlisted one of its finest palates as well. The result is a lineup of exquisite Cabernets, crafted by Koschitzky and Master of Wine Vanessa Conlin, that stands with any of Napa Valley's finest.

The 2022 Pas de Cheval Cabernet Sauvignon Intermezzo was grown in a deep, alluvial vineyard in a prime section of St. Helena. Deep, dense, and mouthfilling, it can be found on the list at some of the top restaurants in the world, including Napa's MICHELIN three-star The French Laundry, Mélisse in Santa Monica, and NYC's Jean-Georges.

The 2022 growing season was a warm one, capped by a hot finish that pushed ripeness and drove real power into the wines. From this alluvial St. Helena site, that ripeness arrives wrapped in the plush, velvety texture the appellation is known for—a Cabernet made for the long haul in the cellar.
